The Project will deploy a 6MW 2-blade downwind turbine installed on a floating platform in the French Mediterranean Sea.

In our commitment to the Nextfloat project, 2-B Energy (2BE) assumes a crucial role in a variety of integral components, showcasing our expertise and dedication to advancing the field of floating wind energy. Our contributions

 1. Fundamental Design of RNA:

Engaging in the foundational design of the Rotor Nacelle Assembly (RNA), we bring innovation and precision to the core structure of the wind turbine, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.

2. Comprehensive System Simulation and Coupled Analysis:

Leveraging advanced technology, we conduct extensive system simulations and coupled analyses to evaluate the intricate dynamics of the entire system. This approach allows us to identify potential improvements and optimize the overall efficiency of the wind energy solution.

3. Integrated Control and Monitoring System Design:

We specialize in designing an integrated control and monitoring system that enhances the operational control of the wind turbine. This ensures real-time monitoring, efficient management, and prompt response to varying environmental conditions.

4. Elaborate Detailing of RNA Design:

Building on our foundational design, we delve into the detailed aspects of the Rotor Nacelle Assembly. This meticulous approach guarantees the structural integrity, reliability, and longevity of the wind turbine.

5. Support for RNA Certification:

Recognizing the importance of adhering to industry standards, we provide comprehensive support throughout the certification process, ensuring that the Rotor Nacelle Assembly meets or exceeds the necessary regulatory requirements.

6. Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of RNA:

From supply chain management to on-site installation and commissioning, we oversee the entire process to guarantee seamless integration and operational readiness of the Rotor Nacelle Assembly.

7. Study for Upscaled 14MW+ Floating Platform/Turbine Design:

Demonstrating our forward-looking approach, we actively engage in a comprehensive study to design an upscaled floating platform and turbine with a capacity exceeding 14MW. This initiative reflects our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the field of floating wind energy.

The NextFloat Project was officially launched in Paris on November 2022. It is being developed by a consortium of thirteen partners from eight countries, including Technip Energies as the Project coordinator, and apart from  2B Energy , also X1 Wind, Naturgy, , Hellenic Cables, Technical University of Denmark, Hydro, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Schwartz Hautmont, Ocas, Tersan Shipyard, Ocean Ecostructures, and Cybernetix. The Project is backed by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe program with public funding of 16M€, plus private funding from partners and shareholders.
