Position description
The Electrical Engineer is reponsible for the development, design and integration of the electrical systems for the 2 bladed turbine platforms 6MW and >10MW, and is member of the engineering team reporting to the Manager Engineering. The Electrical Engineer supports the turbine commissioning and validation.

Tasks and responsibilities
Technical responsibility for the electrical turbine systems
Drive the design process of the electrical power train for the 2B6 and 2B1X platforms
Setup of functional requirements for the systems and components, organize technical reviews with the engineering team, drive and force design decision
Write and update component specifications, technical descriptions and manuals
Technical cooperation with suppliers
System and component validation incl. root cause analyses
Support of the turbine assembly, commissioning and maintenance
Actively work together with Sourcing-, CAD- and Loads and Control department within 2-B Energy
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) or other closely related fields
Knowledge and working experience
Professional experience in the wind industry with focus on electrical systems
Sound know-how three-phase low-voltage and medium-voltage power systems (generator, converter, controls, motors, electrical panels and cabling)
Experience with transformers and switch gears
Good knowledge with regard to applicable standards as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, IEC and EN norms
Software skills
Experience with PSCAD, PSS/E or other Power System Stability Analysis software is beneficial
Experience with EPLAN or comparable CAD tools
Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink
Knowledge and programming experience, e.g. in Excel, VBA, Matlab, Python
Personal skills
The candidate must have good organizational and communication skills and must be able to work within an international, multi-disciplinary team
Strong sense of responsibility

Language skills
English (Fluently written and spoken), Dutch (beneficial), German (beneficial)
